About me

I made my first steps in the world of programming at the age of 16. I started by learning PHP 5 and HTML. I immediately fell in love with the language and programming in general. Soon I moved to C++, which only deepened my fascination with IT. I decided that I want to make this my career, and after graduating from high school I applied to study in the field of software development.

Over the four years of my studies at the Institute of Technology Carlow, I have learned many skills that were essential in my programming career. I gained a deeper knowledge of computer hardware, various programming languages, networking, algorithms, and design patterns.

In my spare time, I still write software, but I also spend a lot of time helping others learn and become programmers. I also like helping out with open source projects whenever I can. I contributed some PRs to the PHP project, which is my way of giving back to the community.

• Performed services and consulting work as an expert for SAP Master Data Governance.
• Developed custom enhancements and reports using SQL and ABAP programming language for various customers.
• Provided on-site guidance during the design and implementation of SAP MDG.
• Implemented numerous business rules using BRF+ in the area of SAP MDG and FS-CM.
• Carried out successful implementation projects, both as part of a team and as a sole member.

• Worked on improving and enhancing networking weathermaps as part of second line support team.
• Carried out maintenance for existing code base written in Perl and GAWK.

Open-source software contributions

As a member of the PHP organization I have contributed several RFCs.

PHP 8.1:

• Add fetch_column method to mysqli
• mysqli bind in execute
• Change Default mysqli Error Mode
• Deprecate autovivification on false

PHP 8.2:

• Remove support for libmysql from mysqli

I have also submitted various pull requests to projects such as phpMyAdmin, Psalm, PHPStan, and Doctrine DBAL.
